It's all in the name, Genelle's Awesome-Sauce!!!!

Many of you may be curious as to how Genelle’s Awesome- Sauce came about. One day at a fancy coffee shop I ordered the most delicious latte with lavender flavoring. It was the first time I had ever heard of it. A lavender latter, mmm, just sipping it brought me back to those lavender fields I loved so much! That summer when I toured the farms I knew I wanted to get some lavender syrup, but to my surprise you couldn't find it at any of the farms. I did find lavender lemonade already made though. I did my research and found myself attending the annual Clackamas County Lavender festival (A small window of time during the summer when the local farms open there doors and share their beautiful farms with the public.) year after year searching for my special niche. Then one day out of the blue, I mean purple, it hit me-Lavender syrup. How awesome it could be to make syrup with lavender’s calming properties to add to most anything you love to eat and that my friends is how my Awesome-Sauce was born. The kids helped me name it of course! I kept calling it awesome and asked for their help with the naming it. That's when they suggested, "Why not call it Awesome-Sauce." It had a ring and I was like cool! And the rest you see makes history.
